Learn&Vest
Designing a financial learning app to help women build confidence and comfort with investing
The Problem
Despite strong investment performance, many women report lower confidence when it comes to investing, and most financial education tools are created with a more general or male-oriented audience in mind.
The goal of Learn&Vest was to design an experience that makes financial learning feel approachable, relevant, and confidence-building for women seeking guidance.
Timeline
The project was completed in a 4 week sprint.

My Approach
I started by looking at the gap between performance and confidence, and then:
- Led research to understand how women learn about investing and what motivates them
- Defined user goals and content priorities to inform the structure of the app
- Designed key flows and hierarchy to support daily engagement
- Built an interactive prototype that showcased the core experience
The Solution
The Learn&Vest app delivers daily motivation and short, digestible educational content aimed at helping women feel more comfortable with investing.
The experience focuses on simple, approachable guidance, reinforcing progress and making learning feel doable every day.
Impact & Outcomes
- Created an app where users can receive daily advice and explore financial topics with confidence
- Designed flows that balance education with motivation and shareability
- Demonstrated practical research and design skills within a four-week timeline
- Built a prototype that clearly conveys how the app supports sustained engagement
Reflection
This project reinforced the importance of designing experiences that meet users where they are, especially when confidence, not just knowledge, is the core barrier to engagement.
